![]() Fans have long speculated that Gaeta might lean that way, and sci-fi and genre shows have often tried halfheartedly to introduce homosexual characters into their storylines, so good for the Galactica team for pulling it off so deftly here and without any cornball fanfare. Things get off to a controversial (by early 1990s standards, anyway) start when we learn that Gaeta is gay - and not just gay, but apparently involved with Lieutenant Hoshi, who was basically the Battlestar Pegasus' version of Gaeta. Dubbed " The Face of the Enemy," the 10 mini-episodes serve a variety of functions - chief among them being whetting our appetites for the upcoming final push of new Galactica, linking the first and second halves of Season 4 together, and also giving the spotlight to some secondary characters, in this case everyone's favorite one-legged CIC officer, Felix Gaeta. In what has become something of a ritual for Battlestar Galactica when it kicks off a new season (or half season), the critically beloved sci-fi series recently received a new series of webisodes (found, of course, on the SCI FI Channel's official site). ![]()
